Atlanta Medical Psychology (The Medical Quarters) is located in north Atlanta at the junction of Northside, Scottish Rite and Saint Joseph Hospitals at I-285 (the perimeter interstate).

Whether referring private patient, a patient for treatment evaluation, a pre-surgical evaluation, psychological disability determination, worker's compensation assessment or second opinion IME, the referral can be made:

  • on-line referral at any hour.
  • telephone: 404.252.6454 during office hours
  • facsimile: 404.851.9286
  • via e-mail: (personal questions cannot be answered online)

Referrals most often come from physicians, nurse case managers, claims adjustors, attorneys and self-insured companies.

The information needed to initiate a referral is the patient's name, the nature of the referral, and the contact name and telephone number of the referring individual.

Psychological evaluations span an average of 5-6 hours. New patients should be scheduled early in the day, insuring that Dr. Adams will be able to complete and communicate his diagnostic findings within 24 hours of seeing the patient.

This office sends the patient an information letter and map prior to appointment but only after they have been notified by the referral agent. The letter explains the nature of the appointment, length, parking, and restaurant accommodations. IME's should be provided a 2-3 week advance notice.

We see patients who live within a radius of four hour drive. There are numerous hotels in our area.
